Works in Disguise

Over the past years of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as the president of the Philippines. Are there improvements? Does she solve the major economic problems? Maybe yes, maybe no.
President Arroyo has ordered all government agencies to offer contractual jobs. Another way to hide the political chaos? Anyway, unemployment among Filipinos is one of the major problems in this country. Many student graduated in higher degree and vocational got no work.
As pres. GMA offered 180thousand works for Filipinos, she will gradually solve the problem, giving the opportunities to Filipinos and the benefits to the government. Opportunities for Filipinos to earn money while the government will be the beneficiaries of the worker's salary.
In addition, the contractual job offered by GMA has P8,000.00 monthly salary and P2,000.00 stipend. I hope these money will reach its target beneficiaries, not the government officials pocket, but the hungry stomach, heads to shelter, and body to clothe the workers.
So, here are some of the employment programs launched by the government. the "green collar jobs" which is related to energy. Economy tourism which covers coastal clean-ups and bay-watch groups. YES (youth employment in summer) and NARS (nurses assigned in rural areas) program.
These jobs are not only offered once and today, recall the past years of pres. GMA, she offered this job many times, she offered in different manners, but what happened? The salary that must reached the underpaid government employees was corrupted.
Is this her way to clean up her name? Election is coming. Grabbing those job is similar to letting yourself to be one of her scented flower. Giving yourself to make her name smell good.
Well, it's up to you Filipino workers. If you're going to grab the poisonous offer. I just want to remind you election is coming. These offers are not offered once. Be wise!

DESIDERATA
-- written by Max Ehrmann
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Ma
ny fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Water, Water everywhere...
